SPIRITUALLY-INTEGRATED PSYCHOTHERAPY

Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy is a contemplative approach to psychotherapy that honours and prioritizes one’s spiritual life, experiences and questions. This is a space where the full spectrum of your lived human experience is brought to the therapeutic conversation.

You may be here because…

Your spiritual life matters to you, and you want a place where it is welcome, not judged or pathologized

You are questioning meaning, identity, and direction in your life, and want a place where you can approach difficult questions with care and support.

You find that conventional therapy language doesn’t capture the depth of what you’re navigating.

Psychotherapy that makes room for meaning, soul, and spirit.

I work with individuals who want to explore their emotional and cognitive suffering through a spiritual and existential lens. I am trained in Spiritually-Integrated Psychotherapy, with a graduate degree from the University of Toronto in the Master of Pastoral Studies , Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy program. My approach integrates modern psychotherapeutic practice with and spiritually-integrated psychotherapy and contemplative perspectives, offering a process that encourages depth, self-knowledge, and living a life in accordance with ones deepest values.

About Soroosh Vafapoor

03

I’m a Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO, #009669) based in Toronto. I’m drawn to work with individuals seeking a therapeutic process that brings in their spiritual and contemplative lives front and centre. I draw on both my professional experience as a spiritually-integrated psychotherapist as well as my own life experiences; the challenges of spiritual practice , the framing of mental health through a spiritual perspective, the challenges of leaving or joining a spiritual community, and more. I draw on a range of spiritual and contemplative traditions, as well as existential therapy, depth psychology, and spiritually-integrated psychotherapy.
